GEARS (the Georgia Electronic Accident Reporting System) has been the official statewide repository of all crash data for the state of Georgia since 2009. In this time, the GEARS team has worked very closely with GDOT, as well as other entities within the state of Georgia such as the Georgia Association of Chiefs of Police (GACP) and the Governor's Office of Highway Safety (GOHS) in providing agencies with the ability to enter their crash data in a timely and accurate manner.
GEARS consists of the central repository for all crash data, a GEARS Client that agencies can use to enter their crash data free of charge, as well as the GEARS Portal website where users can run searches and analytics on crash data. Please reach out to the GEARS Support Team at gears.support@lexisnexisrisk.com or call 866-495-4206 for any questions or assistance with using any of the available GEARS features.
The GEARS team is committed to supporting the various agencies, traffic safety organizations, and other stakeholders in Georgia that all work together to improve traffic safety throughout the state. We appreciate your involvement in this effort as well. To learn more about our organization, and our mission to support traffic safety, please feel free to review some of the links below.
